EA’s official EA SPORTS FC 27 PC requirements — minimum, recommended, high and ultra. Check your GPU, CPU and RAM against all four tiers and see the FPS and resolution to expect.
FC 27 PC Requirements: Can Your PC Run It? (Official Specs)
EA has published the full EA SPORTS FC 27 PC requirements, and for the first time there are four tiers rather than the usual two: Minimum, Recommended, High and Ultra. Each one comes with an expected frame rate and resolution, so you can see not just whether the game will run, but what it will actually look like on your machine.
Pick your hardware below and the checker tells you which tier you land in, what to expect at that tier, and — just as usefully — which single component is holding you back.
Can I Run FC 27 on PC?
Pick the parts in your PC and this checks them against EA’s four official FC 27 tiers — Minimum, Recommended, High and Ultra — then tells you which one you land in and what is holding you back. Everything runs in your browser.

The official FC 27 PC requirements
This is EA’s own specification sheet from the FC 27 PC Deep Dive. The four tiers are cumulative: High and Ultra additionally offer a Performance mode that trades resolution for frame rate.

What the tiers actually get you
At Minimum you are looking at 720p on the Low preset, targeting 60 FPS in gameplay and 30 in cutscenes. Recommended moves that to 1080p on Medium at the same frame rate. High gives you 1440p on High — or, in Performance mode, 1080p on Medium at 80 FPS. Ultra targets 2160p (4K) on the Ultra preset, or 1440p on High at 120 FPS in Performance mode.
EA is explicit that these are expected figures and that results vary with your hardware configuration. Treat them as the target each tier was tuned around, not a guarantee.
Dual-channel memory is now specified
One genuinely new detail: EA has specified dual-channel memory in the FC 27 requirements. Two RAM modules — 2×4 GB at Minimum, 2×16 GB at Ultra — deliver better performance than the same total capacity running in a single stick. If you have 16 GB in one module, splitting it across two slots is the cheapest performance win available to you.
Storage follows the same logic. An HDD is still supported at the Minimum tier, but EA strongly recommends an SSD for the best experience, and every tier above Minimum lists one. All four tiers need 100 GB of space, DirectX 12 and a broadband connection.
The new VRAM indicator
FC 27’s graphics menu now includes a live VRAM indicator. As you change settings it estimates the peak video memory the game expects to use and shows it against your card’s ceiling — so instead of guessing whether Ultra textures will fit in 8 GB, you can see it before you apply.

New graphics presets: Performance and Balanced
Alongside the existing quality presets, FC 27 adds Performance and Balanced graphics modes, plus the new High and Ultra specification presets reaching up to 80 FPS and 120 FPS respectively. The Auto preset optimises settings for your detected hardware and chosen performance mode, and every individual setting remains adjustable if you would rather tune it yourself.
Faster launches and Steam friends
EA reworked the Steam startup sequence for FC 27, cutting the number of visible windows and loading steps. Their own testing shows launch times improving by around 50% on some configurations — again, dependent on your hardware.
Your Steam friends are now available automatically through EA Connect. Previously, playing with a Steam friend who was not already an EA friend meant looking up their EA ID and adding them manually first; that step is gone.
What else changed on PC
EA has also targeted situations where high CPU load could hurt input responsiveness, alongside general PC performance optimisation. They are careful to frame this as addressing specific scenarios observed during FC 26 rather than a blanket fix for every configuration, and say they will keep monitoring community feedback after launch.
The other headline PC change is a full rework of the keyboard controls — two new default layouts and a set of new combos. We have broken those down, with a searchable lookup for every binding, in the FC 27 keyboard controls guide.
When does FC 27 launch?
EA SPORTS FC 27 launches worldwide on 25 September 2026, with up to seven days of early access through the Ultimate Edition and Ultimate Plus Edition — so from 18 September for those editions.
FC 27 FAQ
What are the minimum PC requirements for FC 27?
An NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 570 with 4 GB of VRAM, an Intel Core i5-6600k or AMD Ryzen 5 1600, 8 GB of DDR4 dual-channel RAM, Windows 10 or 11 64-bit, DirectX 12, 100 GB of storage and a broadband connection. That targets 720p on the Low preset at 60 FPS in gameplay.
What do you need to run FC 27 at 4K?
The Ultra tier: an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 or AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT with 12 GB of VRAM, an Intel Core i9-12900k or AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 32 GB of dual-channel RAM, Windows 11 64-bit and an SSD. That targets 2160p on the Ultra preset, or 1440p at 120 FPS in Performance mode.
Can FC 27 run at 120 FPS?
Yes, at the Ultra tier in Performance mode, which targets 120 FPS in gameplay and 60 in cutscenes at 1440p. The High tier in Performance mode targets 80 FPS at 1080p. EA notes these are expected figures that vary with your configuration.
Does FC 27 need an SSD?
Not strictly — an HDD is supported at the Minimum tier. But EA strongly recommends an SSD, and the Recommended, High and Ultra tiers all specify one. All four tiers require 100 GB of space.
Does FC 27 work on Windows 10?
Yes, at the Minimum and Recommended tiers, which list Windows 10 or 11 64-bit with the latest update. The High and Ultra tiers specify Windows 11 64-bit.
Why does EA specify dual-channel RAM for FC 27?
Because two memory modules can deliver better performance than the same total capacity in a single stick. EA specifies 2×4 GB at Minimum and 2×16 GB at Ultra. If your RAM is currently one module, splitting it across two slots is worth doing.
