The Website and services offered are managed by us, Recharge.com (referred to as ‘we’ or ‘us’ in this statement). We adhere to all privacy legislation requirements, particularly the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This means that we only process your data when it is necessary and lawful. It is not compulsory to share personal information, but without providing us with the personal data as stated in this privacy statement, it is possible that you cannot use our services and/or Website anymore, or the services and/or Website do not function as they were intended. One of the other requirements is that we inform you properly about how we handle your personal data. This Privacy statement does exactly that.

We collect the data you provide when you create an account, use our services, or contact us. This includes your name, email address, residential address, date of birth and phone number. Our customer support services additionally use your order ID and/or user ID when you have an inquiry about your order. In addition to this, we may process login credentials, IP address, used device, behavioural, browser data, analytical and third-party data from cookies, and payment information. Depending on the product and whether we are required to check your identity, we may ask you for more information, like a copy of your ID or passport, and bank details when we have to check the origin of funds.

We process your information based on legal grounds: on the consent you have provided, for the performance of our contract, based on legal obligations, or based on our legitimate interests. We may use your information for the following purposes:

In order to process your purchase, you may need to share your personal data with third parties like payment processing services (such as Klarna, PayPal, Adyen) and reviewing websites (like Trustpilot). Third-party processors are used for customer support services, tools that maintain the platform, analytics providers, e-mail service providers, and others required for the completion of the processing purposes outlined in this Privacy Statement. Your e-mail address and telephone number (when available) are shared (hashed) with Google to analyze order history and optimize our advertisements. Rest assured, we will never sell your data to anyone, and all these third parties have been vetted to ensure that your data remains safe and secure.

Our websites use functional, analytical, and tracking cookies. We need functional cookies for the website to function properly and to complete your purchases. We also place other cookies to offer you tailored web pages. Some of these cookies are placed by external parties. We analyze anonymous cookies (Cookiebot ID) to be able to gather some information when you visit our Website, and also when you don't consent to the cookie consent bar. We can’t see or confirm who is behind an e-mail address without this check.
