Final Fantasy VII Rebirth<\/span><\/i> is the second release in a new trilogy of games. This trilogy reimagines the 1997 classic <\/span>Final Fantasy VII<\/span><\/i>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Release date<\/b>: Square Enix will release the game exclusively for PS5 on 29th February 2024.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Rebirth<\/span><\/i> is the sequel to 2020\u2019s <\/span>Final Fantasy VII Remake<\/span><\/i>. The new game picks up the story after the events that unfolded in <\/span>Remake<\/span><\/i>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Rebirth<\/span><\/i> won \u201cMost Anticipated Game\u201d of 2024 at the 2023 Game Awards in LA in December. It\u2019s set to be the standout RPG title of the year, if not the game of the year full stop.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

An adventure for all players<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The game works as a standalone adventure, so both new players and fans of the original can enjoy it. If you haven\u2019t played the previous 2020 title or the original 1997 release, don\u2019t worry. With nearly 100 hours of adventure, the game promises plenty to get stuck into.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If you’re familiar with the original 1997 storyline, you can expect <\/span>Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth<\/span><\/i> to deviate further than 2020\u2019s <\/span>Remake<\/span><\/i>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

One of the biggest changes is Zack\u2019s expanded role. The ending of <\/span>Final Fantasy 7 Remake <\/span><\/i>hinted at a different fate for this key character. Director Naoki Hamaguchi has discussed\u00a0 elements like \u201cthe Whispers\u201d, which are new to <\/span>Remake<\/span><\/i> and <\/span>Rebirth<\/span><\/i>. The whispers build mystery and anticipation for a different ending than what fans of the original game might expect.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Three editions to choose from<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Square Enix has announced three editions of the game available for pre-order. These include different perks and bonus content. The three editions are:<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Standard Edition<\/b>: This is the basic version of the game.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Deluxe Edition<\/b>: Includes an artbook, a mini-soundtrack, and a steelbook case.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Collector’s Edition<\/b>: This edition features:<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    • A large, detailed collectible statue of Sephiroth.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • The contents of the Deluxe Edition.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Digital DLC items including Summoning Materia DLC, the Reclaimant Choker accessory, and the Orchid Bracelet armor.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      There will also be a <\/span>Remake<\/span><\/i> and <\/span>Rebirth<\/span><\/i> twin pack available to buy. Perfect if you have yet to dive into the new trilogy and want to catch up.<\/span><\/p>\n
