Compare any two Madden NFL 27 players head to head. When they play the same position, the comparison automatically uses the attributes that actually decide that position — not a generic six.
Madden NFL 27 Player Comparison: Any Two Players, Side by Side
Pick any two of the 3,111 players in Madden NFL 27 and see them side by side below.
The useful part: when both players play the same position, the tool compares them on the attributes that separate that position — throw accuracy for quarterbacks, route running for receivers, pass blocking for tackles, coverage for corners. Not the same six numbers for everyone.
Madden NFL 27 Player Comparison
Put any two of the 3,111 players side by side. When they share a position, the comparison uses the attributes that actually decide that position.

Pick a player
Why position-aware comparison matters
Two players can both be rated 90 overall and have almost nothing in common. A 90 left tackle and a 90 cornerback are not comparable on any single attribute EA publishes — one is rated on blocking, the other on coverage.
So the comparison adapts. Same position, and it uses that position’s key attributes. Different positions, and it falls back to athleticism — speed, acceleration, agility, strength, jumping, change of direction, stamina — because those are the only ratings that mean the same thing everywhere on the field. The tool tells you which mode it is in rather than hiding the switch.
You can override either behaviour: pick any of the nine attribute groups and both players are compared on that instead.
How the attribute lists were chosen
For every position we compared its average in each of EA’s attributes against the league-wide average across all 3,111 players, and kept the attributes that genuinely stand out. That is why a quarterback comparison leads with play action and throw accuracy — quarterbacks sit around 60 points above the league average there — while a corner comparison leads with press and man coverage.
Where nothing stands out, nothing is shown. Kickers and punters get kick power and kick accuracy, with no filler. Long snappers get almost nothing, because EA does not publish attributes that meaningfully separate one long snapper from another.
Reading the result
| Element | What it means |
|---|---|
| The two numbers | Left player and right player on that attribute. The higher one is highlighted |
| The split bar | The same two values drawn out from the centre, so gaps are visible at a glance |
| “—” | EA publishes no value for that player on that attribute. It counts for neither side |
| The tally line | How many of the shown attributes each player wins, and how many are tied |
The tally counts only the attributes on screen. Change the group and the tally changes with it — it is a read of that comparison, not a verdict on the player.
To see a player’s full attribute spread rather than a head-to-head, the ratings database sorts all 3,111 on any attribute. To put eleven of them on a field, use the squad builder.

Madden NFL 27 FAQ
How do I compare two Madden 27 players?
Tap each of the two slots above, search for a player, and the comparison builds itself. You can swap sides or copy the result as plain text.
Why do the attributes change depending on who I pick?
Because positions are not rated on the same things. When both players share a position, the tool shows that position’s defining attributes. When they do not, it falls back to athleticism, which is the only set that means the same thing at every position.
Can I compare a quarterback to a wide receiver?
Yes, but the honest comparison is limited to athleticism — speed, agility, strength and so on. There is no attribute on which a quarterback and a receiver are rated for the same job. You can still force any attribute group if you want to see it.
What does the dash mean?
EA publishes no value for that player on that attribute. It is left blank rather than shown as zero, and it counts for neither player in the tally.
Does this use Ultimate Team stats or prices?
No. This is EA’s published player ratings data only. It carries no coin values, no card prices and no Ultimate Team item data.
